Instructions to Contributors

Journal of Fine Arts: Visual Arts is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open access, quarterly journal which publishes theoretically and empirically research on all facets of visual arts. The aim of Journal of Fine Arts: Visual Arts is to publish the results of research and scientific experiences in the field of visual arts. It aims to promote and improve research, as well as deepen theoretical and practical studies in this field, particularly in Iranian Islamic arts. The Journal emphasizes the theoretical and practical significance of these fields and the broad scope of philosophical reflections on their nature. Additionally, it highlights the role of visual arts in advancing taught in Iranian society.

The manuscript should include an abstract, introduction, literature review, methodology, research body covering the results, endnotes, and references. The total should be between 7000 to 10000 words.

The abstract should be in both English and Farsi (Persian). It should be about 200 words in Farsi and 500 words in English, typed on two separate pages.

The “introduction” should point to the research questions, objectives and a general overview of the paper.

The “results” section should succinctly and logically emphasize the research findings.

The guidance and contributions of others can be acknowledged briefly in a separate section.

The endnotes should be numbered and included before the references.

The endnotes should be numbered and included before the references. Citations should follow the latest APA Formatting and Style Guide.

The first page should include author`s full name, title and affiliation, address, telephone, and e-mail. If the paper is based on a grant or a student thesis or dissertation, it should be noted accordingly on the first page.

The second page should begin with the paper’s title, abstract, and keywords. Note that the title should be short, succinct, and relevant to the text. Keywords should be between four to six major words relevant to the article.

The number of figures, graphs, and tables need to be minimal. Each should be numbered and noted.

If the paper has more than one author, one must be represented as the corresponding author.

Manuscripts, not following the above guidelines, will not be accepted.

All texts and relevant material should be submitted via the journal site.

The editorial board reserves the right to accept or reject any article before or after the article’s reviewe by referees.

The sole responsibility for views and statements expressed in the article remains with the author(s).

This journal is a fully access journal which means that all articles are available on the internet to all users immediately upon publication and non-commercial use and distribution in any medium is permitted, provided the author and the journal are properly credited.

COPE guidelines are followed by judiciary committee that presides over this journal in order for the rights of the authors to be preserved.
